چکیده
This study aimed to calculate the proportion of antibiotic resistance profiles Enterococcus faecium, E. faecalis, and durans isolated from traditional sheep goat cheeses obtained a selected border area Slovakia with Hungary (region Slanské vrchy). A total 110 sp. were cheese samples, which 52 strains (E. faecium (12), faecalis (28), (12)) represented. After isolation identification by polymerase chain reaction matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time-of-flight mass spectrometry, enterococci durans) submitted susceptibility tests against nine antimicrobial agents. In general, more resistant than faecium. high percentage was noted in rifampicin (100%), vancomycin (85.7%), teicoplanin (71.4%), erythromycin minocycline (57.1%), nitrofurantoin ciprofloxacin (14.3%), levofloxacin (14.3%). showed (66.7%), (33.3%), vancomycin, teicoplanin, (100%). Multidrug-resistant confirmed 80% this study. Continuous monitoring their incidence emerging is important order prevent potential risk public health caused contamination milk other dairy products, such as cheeses, made on farm level.

متن کاملAntimicrobial Resistance of Enterococcus Isolated from Pre-Chill Swine Carcasses
Background: As a result of the extensive use of antimicrobials in agriculture, animals have been implicated as possible reservoirs of resistant strains of bacteria. Enterococci are members of the normal flora of the gastrointestinal tract of human and animals. Because of their ubiquity, enterococci have been introduced in programs to evaluate the hazard of transmission of resistant bacterial st...
متن کاملAntimicrobial resistance of Enterococcus species isolated from produce.
The purpose of this study was to characterize the antibiotic resistance profiles of Enterococcus species isolated from fresh produce harvested in the southwestern United States. Among the 185 Enterococcus isolates obtained, 97 (52%) were Enterococcus faecium, 38 (21%) were Enterococcus faecalis, and 50 (27%) were other Enterococcus species. Of human clinical importance, E. faecium strains had a...
متن کاملCombined antimicrobial resistance in Enterococcus faecium isolated from chickens.
Nineteen E. faecium strains isolated from chicken caecum samples, collected in slaughterhouses and highly resistant to vancomycin or gentamicin, were coresistant to erythromycin, and/or tetracyclines, and/or streptogramins, and/or avilamycin. Multiple antibiotic resistance was related to the presence in various combinations of aac(6')-aph(2"), erm(B), emtA, mef(A), tet(L), tet(M), and vanA genes.
